All-seasons

All-season tires give decent traction across a range of driving and of weather conditions. The tread patterns give a good grip on wet roads, light snow, and slush. All-seasons are a good all-around option for solid performance.

Winter tires

Winter tires are essential in most parts of Canada, In Alberta, temperatures frequently drop below 7°C, making it crucial to switch to winter tires. These specialized tires feature a unique tread pattern and remain pliable even at temperatures as low as -40°C, providing superior traction on icy, snowy, and slushy roads.

Performance tires

Performance tires, also known as summer tires, are designed to deliver superior handling and cornering capabilities at high speeds in dry and wet warm weather. They are not ideal for use in cold weather or snowy conditions as they lack the necessary grip and traction.

How long do Ford factory tires last?

Tires will last around four to five years or around 80,000 km. But the life of a tire does depend on how you maintain your vehicle, driving conditions, and the way you drive.

There are a few things you can do to help extend the life of your tires:

  • Maintain your tires by having the alignment checked and tires rotated on schedule
  • Excessive wear can be avoided if you take corners carefully, accelerate at normal speed, and break gently. caused by hard cornering, quick acceleration, and sudden braking
  • Look at your tires for damage and air pressure
  • Always have your tires checked for alignment and uneven wear.

How often should I replace my tires?

Check your tires regularly and look for uneven wear, low pressure, or the steering pulling in one direction. Usually, for drivers who do between 20,000 to 24,000 km per year, tires should do well for up to five years.
